Cole Palmer tries to play agent
Football Insider reports that Cole Palmer has been trying to persuade Ollie Watkins to join the Blues this summer. The Aston Villa forward scored England’s late winner against Netherlands in the semi-final and supporters have since been calling for Chelsea to sign him. Now Palmer is said to have tried to convince the 28-year-old over a move to Stamford Bridge. The pair are thought to have formed a strong relationship both on and off the pitch.
Blues tipped for Julian Alvarez blow
TyC Sports reports that Atletico Madrid have ‘already advanced’ in negotiations for Julian Alvarez. The Manchester City star is open to leaving the Etihad this summer after rejecting a new deal. Having spent two years at City as second choice to Erling Haaland , he is looking to join a club where he will be handed regular game time.
Chelsea remain keen to bolster their attacking options and had identified the Argentinian as an option. Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal had also been mentioned as potential destinations but any deal has stalled due to his participation at Copa America.
