‘Could Be A Very Good Signing’ ‘I’d Steer Clear’ Fans React As West Ham Target Former Chelsea Striker
West Ham are among five Premier League teams weighing up a move for Roma striker Tammy Abraham, according to TEAMTalk. The website claims that the Hammers, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Leicester are all interested in the former Chelsea player. Fans on X are split on whether West Ham should pursue Abraham, especially as he has only recently recovered from a serious injury:

West Ham would be taking a gamble Abraham injured his anterior cruciate ligament last summer and he only returned to action in April, making 8 appearances and scoring 1 goal before the end of the campaign.
It should be pointed out that the 26-year-old also struggled for form last season, only hitting the back of the net 9 times in 54 games. Julen Lopetegui’s side would, therefore, be taking a big risk if they do choose to pursue the forward .
Roma are demanding a sky-high fee Considering the ACL injury and his poor performances, you would think that his club would be keen to sell him for a reasonable price. However, TEAMTalk report that Roma are holding out for £40m.
There is no chance that any team will be prepared to pay that much for Abraham. It could be one to revisit later in the summer if the Giallorossi soften their current stance.
