Maresca ‘has personally asked’ Chelsea board to sign world class £182k-a-week striker

Enzo Maresca has reportedly personally asked the board to sign Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez this transfer window. Right now man Chelsea fans are wondering what Enzo Maresca will bring to the club as he is the man that is taking over from Mauricio Pochettino from next seasom after a fine campaign with Leicester City this year.

Lautaro Martinez is a player that CHELSEA have been linked with for many transfer windows and it is widely expected that the Blues will go back in to try and sign the world cup winner at some point. As per reports in Spain, Maresca has personally asked Chelsea to sign Martinez from Inter this summer – a forward he views as “ideal” for the team.

Scoring 24 Serie A goals last season, the £182,000-per-week Argentine boasts World Cup- winning experience, and is still just 26 years of age Martinez believes he’s one of the best strikers in the world alongside Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski. In an interview with Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport , Martinez said:

“I have nothing to be jealous of them, the numbers and the trophies say so. ‘Some of them have won less than me. I have to keep working responsibly as my father taught me, but I can be at the same level as all these great players.”

Martinez is one of the best strikers in the game – and the confidence that he shows would be a great asset to that CHELSEA side as they are lacking a quality striker like the Argentine star. We do not know if Chelsea will make a move for the striker this summer – but he is certainly someone that could make a massive impact at Stamford Bridge if he does get signed.

Chelsea knows what they needs to improve the side enough to finally get back into the chase for Champions League football and trophies – but signing someone like Martinez would be a massive statement signing. But we feel that he will probably stay at Inter- he seems happy enough
