‘Really keen’: Premier League star has decided he would love to join Chelsea this summer – Romano

Fabrizio Romano has said that one Premier League player is actually really keen on a move to Chelsea this summer. It is thought that the Blues are going to make a number of additions this summer in order to give new manager Enzo Maresca the sufficient backing that he needs to succeed.

It has been frequently claimed that a new attacker is high on the agenda for this summer, and if reports are to be believed they are making steps towards getting this done. It emerged from South America yesterday that the Blues had come to an agreement with Aston Villa over a deal to sign 20- year-old Jhon Duran for big money this summer.

The striker had been mentioned back in January as a potential target for the Blues, and is certainly someone they admire at Stamford Bridge Jhon Duran wants to join Chelsea Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that the feeling is somewhat mutual, and Duran is really keen on making the move to West London.

He said on YouTube: “What I am hearing is that despite interest from clubs in Italy, Jhon Duran is giving priority now to Chelsea. He’s really keen on joining Chelsea and he would love this possibility.

“So, if Chelsea decide to proceed and go strong on this way in the conversations with Aston Villa – they already had those conversations with Villa for Conor Gallagher, but let’s see what Conor Gallagher also wants to do – the important part of the story is that Jhon Duran absolutely remains on Chelsea’s shortlist as a potential new striker and he’s absolutely keen on the move, so now it’s on Chelsea. But some sort of talk club to club and also player to Chelsea already took place, so he’s surely one of the names to watch for Chelsea this summer.”

Nicolas Jackson in danger

A new striker is something that not all supporters are likely to get on board with this summer. This is because they will have noted the development of Nicolas Jackson since he joined the club just under a year ago, and how it is hard to picture an attack without him in it. The last thing the club want to do at this stage is do anything that will end up stunting his growth.
