Romeo Lavia was absolutely furious with£25m Chelsea teammate during 2-0 loss to Manchester City
The Enzo Maresca reign at Chelsea did not get off to the start many supporters will have been hoping for. The Blues were soundly beaten at Stamford Bridge by Manchester City, with former Blue Mateo Kovacic rounding off the scoring late in the second half.
As for the Chelsea midfield, Romeo Lavia was the standout player for the hosts before he was substituted off in the second half. He took a lot of the responsibility of picking up the ball in awkward areas and getting the Blues up the pitch.
Chelsea fans were quick to take to social media to praise Lavia despite the defeat, however there was a moment early in the second half where he wasn’t happy with what his teammate had done.

Robert Sanchez’s peculiar pass out from the back gave City a great chance to score again, however it fizzled out.
When the ball went out of play, the Sky Sports coverage showed the Belgian angrily gesturing with his goalkeeper for putting them under pressure just two minutes into the second half.
There is plenty of pressure on Sanchez to impress in the early stages of the season, with him not impressing everyone since his £25m move to Stamford Bridge.

Djordje Petrovic was nowhere to be seen, and reports continue to link him with a move away from the club this summer with him not in the plans of the manager.
Lavia meanwhile absolutely showed that he should be at the forefront of Maresca’s plans when it comes to picking his midfield for future games, with him being the clear standout player in Chelsea blue today.
